Corona products are pasteurized. The pasteurization process, which assures microbiological stability and secures the shelf life of beer, is accomplished by heating it at approximately 60°C for a predetermined period of time.

While there are many factors that contribute to beer shelf life, we have found that in order to enjoy the consistently fresh taste of Corona, it is best to drink within the timeframe of the code date printed on the product packaging.

We strive for the highest standards of quality and freshness for all our products and regularly conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the best quality liquids for our consumers. Storage conditions also play a factor in the shelf life and quality of beer. Prior to opening, Corona should be kept in a cool, dry, dark area away from bright light while avoiding extreme temperature changes. Kegs should be stored in temperatures of 34-39 degrees Fahrenheit with serving temperatures of 36-41 degrees Fahrenheit.The optimal storage temperature for cans and bottles is 53-59 degrees Fahrenheit.

Corona products have a carbonation level of 2.7 CO2 volume. The recommended CO2 gauge pressure for Corona products should range between 12.5-16 PSI at 38 degrees Fahrenheit at sea level. For every 2000 feet in elevation, the PSI needs to be raised by 1.
